St. Andrews Home Groups

Let us not give up meeting together…………and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

Heb. 10 v 25

When you come together, everyone has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, tongue or an interpretation

1 Cor. 14 v 26

Why Home Groups?

When?

Tuesday evening: Wednesday morning: Wednesday evening. There are six groups varying in size, gender and age. To which would you like to come?

Who comes?

Anyone who seeks to know and serve Jesus: any who are searching for God’s Truth: those who seek fellowship with others. Jesus calls all to come into His Kingdom; have you responded?

What happens?

All groups include a “Welcoming Time”: a cup of coffee, a biscuit ……or more! A time of sharing what God is doing in our lives: Worship mainly through songs: A study of God’s word in a variety of ways: Sharing prayer requests and praying: A time of praying for one another.

In the past year the following short courses have taken place within house groups: Alpha ; Christianity Explored; Discipleship Explored; Nooma; Freedom in Christ; Grace Course. These are in addition to Bible study.

Social Events: some Church wide like the Soiree in July; Harvest Concert in October: some organized by individual house groups. The purpose is both for fellowship and welcoming those outside the Church. Why not come along to a group?

What’s ahead?

“What is God doing?” is our question. We believe that the Church in Oakington is entering a season of growth, hence a focus on PRAYER and on living close to Jesus. We hope to follow the principles laid in a course entitles Beautiful Lives which will allow the Holy Spirit to draw people into God’s Kingdom.
